Yesterday, Tuesday, July 11, started the first concerts of chamber music of Salou Music Festival. The music vibrated with two very special spaces and great beauty.

On the one hand, the cello soloist Svetlana Tovstukha was the protagonist of the concert of Santa Coloma de Queralt Castle. The cellist offered a magnificent recital by Bach, Sibelius, George Philipp Telemann, Marin Mareis and also the classical Cant dels Ocells that a public came from all parts of the Costa Dorada and other areas like Aragon, listened with great attention and generous applause.

On the other hand, Izan Rubio played in the interior of Torredembarra castle in a hall of high ceilings and great columns that was characterized by the good acoustics. Since one of the objectives of the Festival is to publicize Catalan music, the first part of the concert revolved around the figure of Catalan guitarist and composer Miquel Llobet as well as Granados, Albéniz and Tárrega. During the second part, a contemporary sonatina of the fantastic composer José Galeote was heard and, to finish, a sonatina of the well-known composer Moreno Torroba. The great quality of the guitarist Izan Rubio and the beauty of the works made that, after the final bis, the public stood up applauding.
